These parts are intended for most gasoline powered G Wagons. For Diesel powered and heavily weighted gas powered models, we offer a heavier spring option. If you are interested in the heavier setup, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can arrange.
Looking to lift your G? Start here. We've studied nearly every suspension option for the G Wagon and polled owners all over the world and this setup has had the most positive reviews of them all.
The Eibach/ORC spring is the most well known aftermarket spring for the G Wagon and has been in high demand for years. They claim to provide a 40mm (~1.5") lift but can actually reach up to 50mm (~2") depending on the weight of your vehicle and shock option. Many shocks have been offered with it but the one resounding issue is that they were too soft for on road driving. With the weight distribution of the G, shocks that are too soft cause the G to wander while driving on road and can become very uncomfortable to drive due to the swaying. While a soft suspension may be desirable for off road, on road is generally the contrary and we believe this to be true in the G Wagon. So, we went out and found a shock option that meets the needs of G Wagon owners.
The Koni Raid shocks are an adjustable shock that is capable of ranging between the non AMG and AMG stiffness. They are the bulkiest shocks we've seen which makes them desirable for off road use as they carry more fluid and are less likely to overheat and break. A very well built, strong shock. They provide a more stable feel to the G Wagon and also allow for greater wheel travel when articulating off road with larger springs.
Having partnered with both companies, JWO now offers the two in a package for an immediate suspension upgrade. The upgrade will allow for more wheel travel and articulation when off roading, larger tire sizes, and a leaner look to your G without being "too much".
