The Steering Stabilizer Extension Bracket provides added clearance space for aftermarket steering stabilizers and assures that a larger hole does not have to be drilled into the factory bracket on the passenger side to fit larger aftermarket stabilizers/dampers. Up to now, some G Wagon owners have had to drill a larger hole into the factory bracket and use a larger bolt to mount aftermarket stabilizers or use the factory bolt and add a reducer sleeve or washer to assure fitment. These options are still possible but with this bracket, no further modification is required to fit upgraded steering stabilizers on the passenger side. Further, for any G Wagon owners that are concerned about clearance between the steering stabilizer and the tie rod, this will give adequate space so there is no question about clearance.

*Optional hardware is One (1) upgraded bolt and One (1) upgraded locking nut for use on the passenger side of the stabilizer. The optional bolt/nut will not fit into an OEM stabilizer - these are only for aftermarket stabilizers with larger eyelet holes. You may be able to source these locally or use hardware you already have but these will provide the best fitment and ease of install. Driver side hardware is not included. Driver side mount will need to use OEM hardware, OEM Equivalent Upgraded hardware provided with our Fox stabilizer, hardware sourced locally, or a larger hole can be drilled into the driver side bracket and a locally sourced larger bolt/nut can be used.
