The Eurowise upgraded Control Arms/Radius Arms are used to improve caster after lifting your G Wagon. When lifting any vehicle, the caster begins to go from positive to negative. On small lifts, this effect is negligible so caster correction is not always necessary. However, for larger lifts, as the caster angle decreases, the handling of the vehicle is effected and can cause for unstable handling on road.
Although in many 1-4 inch lift situations we recommend the use of our Caster Correction Offset Bushings first, these Control Arms will provide even more caster for lifted Gs when needed. For 4 inches of lift and beyond, these are beneficial and will help correct the caster and by doing so will help the on road handling and stability of your G.
These arms decrease the radius chassis mount angle to make installation easier and reduces the stress on the radius arm under extreme conditions. These radius arms will add up to 5 degrees caster on 4 inch lifts.
*Caster angle and Pinion angle work against each other. As you improve your caster with these arms, your pinion angle will become worse which may cause driveline vibrations. When you have driveline vibrations, we recommend adding upgraded driveshafts that are able to operate with these altered, more extreme pinion angles.
*We recommend including the bushings when upgrading control arms/radius arms to save valuable shop hours trying to reuse the existing factory bushings.
