The JWO Bull Bar provides optimal protection for the front end of your truck after installing the JWO Front Steel Detachable Winch Bumper. When designing our steel bumper and this bull bar, we wanted to create something that would not only look good but also provide structural reinforcement for the front of the truck. Made 100% in the USA and available in either Textured Black or Satin Black powder coat finish.
The factory brush guards on the G Wagon have been known to bow and bend into the body of the truck on impact and in some cases cause more harm than good to the headlights, grille, and surrounding front panels of the G. Anything stronger than brush or small tree limbs would bend the factory brush guard and with significant blows, the front end of the truck has been damaged.
Unlike the factory brush guard for the G Wagon which only mounts in two central points, the JWO Bull Bar mounts to the bumper in 4 locations - two central points and on the two outer edges. With this, you now have support head on and from the sides and the force can be absorbed locally and across the structure of the bull bar. Additionally, we took the folding and pinning mechanism of the factory brush guard out and instead bolt directly into the bumper. Using a total of 12 1/2 inch grade 8 bolts greatly strengthens the connection and allows the bull bar to withstand greater forces. Being bolt on, you have the option of removing or adding the bull bar at any time.
The Bull Bar is form fitting to the front end of the G and keeps the traditional look of the G in tact while adding additional support. The two center vertical bars angle slightly away from the G in an effort to deflect debris downwards instead of up and onto the hood and/or windshield of the truck. We kept the outer diameter of the bull bar the same as the factory brush guard so any accessories you have added to the factory brush guard can be seamlessly transferred over.
